This Saturday will be 1 of our fifth Saturday shoots.
Weather should be good and stages will be fast.
Got at least 3 new shooters shooting Saturday Slow Jen, Young Wyatt ,and Shot Gun Sam, so I'm counting on all you pros to help get them up to speed!
Tennessee state is fast approaching tune up while you can.
We will be shooting 5 or 6 stages Saturday.
If it's beautiful and cool 6, if it's hot and humid 5, have to look at weather forecast later in week!
Plan for 6 but will keep you posted by Thursday.

Lots of people want to shoot P.C.C but there is not enough time prior to match to really get in to it, any interest in shooting for a hour or so afterwards?

No flooding, some small puddles
Stages 1, 2, and 3 are high and dry the 20 tons of stone ( not 10 as I said earlier) was money and effort well spent!
Saturdays fore cast is looking good, but cold in morning , 61 and 82 blue skys!
I'm assuming the pistol long range is cowboy pistol only?
The side match long range pistol is cowboy guns only.
If you have a pistol you're like to shoot for fun bring it as long as it's not a high powered rifle catridge
I assume any SASS approved pistol caliber with open sights (no apertures or scopes). We should also limit the guns to revolvers ONLY in my humble opinion. Lets try to keep this a cowboy shoot.

As I said the long range pistol shoot/ side match is for cowboy legal Revolvers.
If some one brings something else and wants to pull the trigger on it before or after the side match I see no harm.
Too Tall this was a suggestion from Bad Eye Tom and I think it's cool!
If it had been my idea I would have asked you to run it no one knows more about this than you!

It was Young Wyatts first shoot, I wasn't able to shoot with him but I heard a lot of good things from people who did(future champion!) Also heard his grand dad , Shotgun Sam had a good day welcome to the family!
Slow Jen shot her first ever match today also and did well, even better when I shut up and let the ladies help her!

I had a lot going on Saturday morning and forgot to congratulate Marshal Too Tall on winning the long range pistol side match. CONGRATULATIONS TOO TALL!
Some said I wasn't using a SASS legal pistol but I can't find anything in the rules that says otherwise. There are minimum rifle and shotgun barrel lengths but not revolvers. I used a stock single six Ruger in 32 H&R with a 10" standard barrel (no bull barrel). I just think they didn't like me taking them to school. ::)

Picking on my friend with a bad eye has got me shooting 50 a night at 2" plates with my 3.5 inch match guns!
Bring a new lesson plan to th0e October shoot!

These 2 " disk are hard to go 5 for 5 at 50 yards!

Practicing is against the rules! (See chapter 3, section 13, sub-title 4 of Too Tall's rules). ;D Personally, I seldom practice the long range other than to sight a gun in with a new load. The gun I shot last time hasn't been shot in several years. We were shooting at 40 yards last time but could go back to 50 yards if you want the challenge. By the way, we shoot in a standing position. Hey, I have to use my glasses to see the sights on the gun which in turn makes the target blurry so I am handicapped like my buddy Bad Eye Tom.

He has promised to not have chapter... section 8 as you do we will have to discuss this between now and then, I'm getting feed back about you're rules .
As a sharp shooter like you it won't make a difference.
