First shoot of 2019 is this saturday!
Sudden Sam has 5 stages ready to go, we will be setting up Friday 8.30 am ish.
The annual points/ buckles race begins this shoot and continues through november, defending champs and contenders cant afford not to be in it every month, lot of close races last year!
40 ton of stone has been delivered and hopefully will be spread on 4 and 5, extend drive, and a little left for entry on 1
That should take care of wet areas .
Speaking of wet as of now looks like any rain will be late afternoon.
Plan to continue long range pistol and p.c.c side matches in mornings. Would like to have someone to volunteer to run those, we may make those a separate buckle race, Bad eye, Marshall too tall ect.. for long range Purly , ocoee red ect.. for p.c.c?
Hope to see everyone saturday!
I have been contacted by 3 individuals this week showing interest in the sport, cub!
1 is bringing his children, I will bring extra ammo for them to try a stage . Does anyone have a set of 22 pistols if the kids would like to try, I have 22 ammo.
I was at the setup this morning for the Marauders Jan 19th match. The targets have been set up, painted and are ready to go. All 5 stages have been set up to be shot standing under cover. The weather forecast is calling for rain, but hopefully the 4-letter "R" word won't show up until we've finished the match.
One last thing: The property owners have pretty much left the club alone as far as the matches and improvements to the range. The club does have a lease. But it still all belongs to Phoenix Farms. Recently, they complained to Charly – again - about the speed driving down the long drive and down to the range. We all need to be very cautious about our speed as soon as we start down the long drive.
Sam
Thanks to Sudden Sam, Dbl Eagle Dave and Dirtwater Fox for setting up the range today!
Forecast is for rain as Sam said hopefully the heavy rain off till we are done.
Bring guns and gear including slicker/ boots and see you in morning!
Saftey 10AM.
Ps Sudden Sam is correct about the speed down the driveway. They have kids on horses that could be spooked, kids and dogs running around not always paying attention so let's be sure to do it for them watch your speed (5mph)!
I was also asked to remind everyone to remember they are a working horse ranch and at times will be parked or have hoses out in the driveway please be patient and respectful .
