Title: Ruger Vaquero Problem
Post by: Cherokee Slim on August 04, 2020, 03:32:02 PM
One of my . 45 Vaqueros just stopped working.  Mid dry fire.  Cylinder won't turn, hammer won't cock.   I switched cylinders with another Vaquero and then that one wouldn't work.  The common problem is the cylinder.  It won't work in any of my other Vaqueros.  You just can't break a Ruger cylinder, but that's the common bad part.  What could possibly be wrong?  How can I fix it or do I have to send it back to Ruger?

Almost every cylinder needs to be fitted to a frame. They are rarely interchangeable. Sounds like you may have a broken spring.
