Title: TMM LAST SHOOT AT PHOENIX FARM
Post by: Purly on May 01, 2021, 11:22:52 AM
I am writing the stages for the May match which will be our last shoot . I am thinking about some of the stages we shot 15 years ago. If anyone has a favorite stage from Mystery Dog. Let me know and I will try to get it setup.
Any thoughts on our last match here.

From what I've heard, the property owner already has a horse event planned for that day which will use the range area.

I'll bet a lot of folks will be shooting this match. Keep the stages simple & quick. Might help to have someone supervise parking to accommodate the large crowd. Tio & I hope to be thar.

Thanks for writing  the stages , and setup!
I know you will be busy with getting  ready  for ga state, so if you want to skip the chicken B.S and 15 year ago I will not blame you!
Quick and fast would give us time to eat and socialize  on T.m.m last shoot on that particular  property.
Dont work to hard before Ga state, looking forward  too bragging on how many champs we turn out!!!
Ps. I hope you don't expect  the chicken back if you choose  to bring it! Lol!
I believe 5th saturday will be for picking up and storing  targets ect...

I don't like to hear "The Last One," of anything: beverages, steaks, hamburgers, pieces of pecan pie, etc.
Cowboy Venues...but it is what it is. Last Kiss and I first shot this venue in '04, and have some good memories.
As funny as the whole chicken thing was, and also the bows and arrows, knives, and tomahawks that Cherokee
Maddog wrote, as was said I see there being a large turnout, so fast might possibly be better. Maybe a throw-
back or two...
I plan to be there, hopefully.
Harley.

Well.....I was in hopes that this being the last one it would incite people to tell past TMM experiences.
I'll tell a simple one I thought of and see if it gets any action.
Many, many years ago there was an old stage building well downrange. It was decided that it would be torn down, so:
If memory serves, targets were put behind the widow openings and were shot during the match through the wood under
the window. Also, if memory serves, we were invited after the match to shoot whatever at the remains of the building.
On that part I could be thinking of somewhere else, we did a good bit of that sort of thing back then. Some Old Timer
tell me if I'm right, I was only a kid back then. ::)

I'm shooting Ga State too and going to miss this last match at Phoenix Farm.  I have so many wonderful memories at this range and it has always been my FAVORITE since it's in the shade/under cover and easy on the feet.  I'm going to miss seeing the beautiful horses run in the pastures all around the range too!

Hug's to all!
