As I mentioned in my last post, I'm trying something new for the club to help streamline the process of preparing for our matches (now that we're doing up to three a month, it can become a lot of work). I've added a registration page to the website, a link to which will be included in a newsletter email that everyone will get on the week of the match. I just sent this week's newsletter out, and everyone reading this post should have gotten it.
It's pretty simple. Just click the link - type in your alias, category, and any posse requests. Click submit. That's it! You can see current registered shooters on this page as well.
Why does this help us? Well, currently people can register both via email and forum posts. That means someone has to go track those things and make a list. Sam can probably attest to how tedious this is. However, if everyone registers in one spot, using this registration page, the list is automatically created for us. We don't have to do anything! Isn't that nice?!
All that said, if everyone hates it, we'll go back to email + forum posts! No harm done. Let me know what you think.
