Up for sale is a Colt Model 1877 in .38 Long Colt known unofficially as the Lightning.  Serial number 11551XX dates it to early 1900.   Frame and cylinder have matching numbers.  The loading gate has a different number.  The Colt M1877 was a double-action revolver manufactured by Colt's Patent Fire Arms from January 1877 to 1909 for a total of 166,849 revolvers.  The bore still has sharp lands and grooves. There is some minor pitting but is shiny.  The cylinders  are shiny with minor pitting at the bullet end.  Revolver functions well mechanically in both single action and double action.  Price is $1850 FTF Chattanooga/Hamilton County.  Must have a Tennessee DL or HCP and be legally able to own a firearm.  Photos at:
