Gamers mind set?
« on: June 17, 2019, 07:32:35 PM »
Still trying to figure this out myself on many fronts!
I have heard from some awesome shooters that they do all kinds of things during  the day that relates to getting better.
For instance: carrying dummy rounds( shot gun ) every  where they go even driving a d just subconsciously  manipulating them , anticipate  the green light when driving carefully, all day at work, be it fill copier, and hit start with other hand simultaneously,  or grab 2 nails instead of 1 ect....
You  must dry fire and practice to get better but doing these little things take no time and add up!

SlowJen  and Katie like to eat at 6pmish,I'm usually  still working so I microwave my food.
Wet paper towel on plate,  timmer 1.11, get water and all fixings out  stop timer half way through  1 second count down!
Makes you understand time a d multi tasking with both hand, with a thought of time, cost nothing! Most will think this is silly!

Just think about it, some do.

Time 10 shots from your pistols, 10 shots from your rifle, and 4 shots from your shotgun. Get your total time.  Now run a stage shooting all guns. The time difference between just shooting guns and stage time will tell you what you need to work on. It may be shoot faster or work on your transitions.

I agre.
15 minutes doesn't sound like much, but it's like saving 15$ a day it adds up quickly!
The deal is you have to do it every day!
Do it first when you get home and it's done and a habit.

Check your ammo before match day. A split case can ruin a stage.

OK, I'll join in: If you think your ammo is suspect it might be.....

I often tell new shooters you have to have good ammo.
I had bad ammo, at least at times, a recent curse of mine.

PS- All of my re loaders are worn out, MUST fix...

ALWAYS bring your gun leather to the match.

Very good advise, I didn't pick mine up for a Wartrace match this year. Fortunately Tyrel Cody had an extra set with him and it fit me.
