For those using the TMM Champs app, you can now access the same information on the TMM website by clicking the "Scores" link on the main website:

https://mtnmarauders.com/

You can keep track of your shooter record and where you're placing for the year-end awards.  There's a statistics page that will show the cleanest and fastest shooters of all time at our club (well, going back to 2019 since that's all the data I have).

The website is mobile friendly, so you can check your scores from your phone after a match. I will be using this website to upload match results at the range from now on, so scores and all of your stats will be instantly updated when the match ends.

Enjoy!

P.s. Please try it out and let me know if you run into any problems.
P.P.S.  For those wondering, I chose not to use Practiscore's website because it was just not flexible enough for our awards calculation.  PS was not made for SASS, so it's a bit limiting in what we can do with it.

Great information Picket!

Just 2 minor suggestions:
1. The background washes out the small blue lettering making it very hard to read the stats and shooter information.
2. Under the cleanest shooters list maybe come up with an average of penalties (total penalties divided by the number of matches). Right now the people leading this are the people that shot 1 or 2 matches during the year.

Just food for thought. Thanks for all the hard work putting this together.

Barkeep,

Thanks for trying it out! It means a lot to me when folks give me feedback and that my time isn't wasted :)

I made the decision to integrate TMM Champs with our public website, so the color scheme should now match what you are used to on the main website. Just visit http://mtnmarauders.com and click on the "Scores" link in the menu:

Let me know if that looks better. Note that I've only tested this on Chrome browser on my laptop and Safari on my iPhone.  I'm still playing around with optimizing the website for mobile, as I want to start encouraging our club members to check the website on their phone after matches.

Regarding the cleanest shooters, even if I do an average as you suggest, the people with fewest matches will still be ranked at the top if I rank by average (for example, a shooter attending 1 match and having 1 clean match will have an average of 0% penalties and be ranked at the top). I've updated the page to show this.

As far as the cleanest shooters information goes. The information is correct, and it is just that information. So no need to change anything. If it ever got to a point that the club was going to award an annual cleanest shooter, I would like to see it weigh more on volume of shoots.

Agreed. I looked into a few other statistical algorithms, like weighted Bayesian average, but it seemed like a hammer.  We can revisit anytime!

Good Stuff !  Pretty quick to see the latest scores and to scroll down and see the results of past matches.  Drilling down to see some of the statistics is pretty neat.  Something cowboys/cowgirls can access during those "down" times when not much is going on with the forum.  And as the year ends, folks can see where they stand.

Good work and thanks for the effort.
