SuddenSam

Waay to go Charley and Jen !

Thanks for the stages Purly.

Double Barrel

Congrats to Charly and Jen.
Thanks to Purly and Two Step Net for setting up the targets Thursday.
Thanks Pickett for all the work on the scoring. I foresee his system being used in SASS clubs across the country when they find out about it.

Is there a way to get reports closer to the way it used to be reported?
Where everyone is on 1 page.

I hate trying to navigate their website and still can't see it the way I want. Every one and every stage on 1 sheet.

Hey Ringer,

No problem, I'll add a "compact view" for those that prefer the old format.

There are a couple of reasons why I made stages separate, in their own table:

1) It's more mobile-friendly. It's very hard to scroll left to right on a mobile phone.  By separating the stages into their own tables, the content is oriented vertically instead of horizontally. If you think about how you scroll through pages on a phone, you're always going up and down.  If I put all the stages on the same line, it wouldn't be legible on a phone.

2) Separating the stages allows you to sort them by total time. When they're all on the same line and in the same table, you can only sort by total match time.

Not sure if you noticed, but in the new format there are quick links to jump to stages within the same page..at the very top of the page you'll see links:

Combined | Category | Clean Shooters | Stage 1 | Stage 2 | Stage 3 | Stage 4 | Stage 5

For example, click on "Stage 1" to jump down to the section of the page with stage 1 results. At the top of Stage 1 results table, you'll see:

Stage 2 | Top

"Top" is a link that takes you back to the top of the page. None of these links cause page refreshes - they just jump to different parts of the page.

There's now a compact view, see the updated post.

Hurricanecharly

you are raising the bar, and I believe it is a good thing.
Be careful  of the old folks back though!

SuddenSam

Good job picket.  Thanks for your effort.

picket

Thanks!  And I do appreciate the feedback, including constructive criticism..  Please continue to post to the forum or message me if anything looks wrong (scores, stats, etc) or if you don't like the look of something.  I'm happy to try to accommodate everyone.  The last thing I want to do is make the website or scoring harder for someone.  I won't get it perfect on the first try, and I don't mind continuing to change things until we get something that works for all.

Ringer

Excellent!

Thank you.

Is there a way on practiscore that I can do that and download it?

Being all mobile now I find practiscore hard to deal with.

I'm not super familiar with Practiscore's website, but from what I've seen, I'm not a big fan.  PS in general is not designed for cowboy action shooting. I've messaged their developers a good bit in the course of the last year, and honestly I get the sense that cowboy shooting is not big business for them and they're reluctant to change things just for us.  The limitations in PS scoring and statistics is one of the main reasons why I just decided to do it myself.

That said, I do believe you can get a similar "compact view" on PS's website.  Here's an example for North Alabama Regulators September 2020 match:

https://practiscore.com/results/html/f29b7bea-cfd5-48ee-abb7-d2cb5415fe48?page=matchCombined

Here's how I did it:

1) Go to the club's match list page (ex:  https://practiscore.com/clubs/north_alabama_regulators)
2) Click on a match in the match list (bottom right of the page)
3) Scroll down until you see an "Html results" blue button. click that
4) Where you see "overall", click the "combined" link

TMM doesn't upload to Practiscore right now, as far as I know.  I'm not sure the historical reasons for that, but since we have our own scoring system and website, it would just be duplication.
